                  A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY FINANCE 
                  OFFICER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH 
                  HAZLETT, LEWIS, AND BIETER TO CONDUCT AN AUDIT 
                  OF THE BESSIE SMITH HALL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT 
                  PER TERMS OF A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE 
                  APPALACHIAN REGIONAL COMMISSION.
                  
                  
                                                     
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the City Finance Officer be and is 
       hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Hazlett, Lewis, 
       and Bieter, Certified Public Accountants, to conduct a program 
       audit regarding the uses of funds provided in a grant from the 
       Appalachian Regional Commission per the terms of the grant 
       agreement.  Costs of conducting the audit shall be paid, to the 
       extent possible, from funds remaining for the construction of the 
       Bessie Smith Hall project or interest earned thereon.
